High School Sports Network - Partners with MYAS for Rising Stars Youth Tournament - March 20th, 2021
March 1st, 2021 The High School Sports Network (HSSN) and Minnesota Youth Athletic Services (MYAS) are proud to announce its partnership to livestream The Rising Stars basketball tournament on March 20th, 2021 at St. Michael-Albertville High School. HSSN will broadcast all 36 games featuring student athletes in grades 4-8. The contests will be played all day from 8:00AM to 8:00PM. Each game will be streamed live on the HSSN website www.highschoolsportsmn.com and will include a live scoreboard. HSSN was first created by the President of the organization, James Clayton, near the start of 2020. Josh Zenner, a former television news sports director and owner of JZ Productions, quickly jumped at the opportunity to partner with Clayton as Vice-President. The two entrepreneurs began live-streaming high school sports on September 1st, 2020. They’ve continued to broadcast a variety of sports throughout the fall of 2020 and the winter of 2021. HSSN navigated its way through the COVID-19 pandemic and worked through the state wide shut downs. While challenging, the organization never lost sight of the goal of bringing the action of high school and youth sports into people’s living rooms and to their computers. The mission of MYAS is to promote and enhance the culture of basketball in Minnesota with the objective of teaching basketball players, both male and female in grades 3-8 the fundamentals necessary to become well-rounded both on and off the court. HSSN and MYAS will also be sharing revenue from the event. The tournament will cost viewers $12.99 in advance and $19.99 on game day. Viewers will have access to every game that day and for the next month on HSSN.
